Blog Post 10

I think that there are many important uses for data collection as a teacher. I think that surveys can be useful for gathering information about student grades and performance. This is critical as it helps teachers pin point potential themes or factors that could be affecting the students. As a teacher I could also use surveys to collect classroom feedback from students and parents.  It was interesting to see my classmates' perspectives on class material. In general, I seem to have similar ideas and reflections about certain topics, but there were some that I felt people knew more about. For example, many of my classmates and I had similar perspectives about class assignments such as the class website, but different feelings about some technology we are using such as twitter. This makes sense as I have never used twitter before this class and I believe most of my classmates have.   I think it would be interesting to learn a little about coding.
