I did not have any experience with Diigo before my EME 2040 class. I am still not entirely sure what it is, but it seems to be generally easy to use. I have not done much with it yet, but from what I can tell, the platform is simple and easy to navigate. I think once I know more about Diigo and how I will be using it in class I will have a stronger opinion on the website.

Blogging so far has been simple and easy. I do struggle however with writing in an informal style. I can write informally when I need to, but I find when I am given a specific prompt with a specific audience, I tend to get right to the point and use more professional sounding grammar and sentence structure. I also think that I have been so hardwired to give a formal response to assignments that it is difficult to add more informal writing into this kind of work. So far, I have learned how to write blogs, and how to navigate blogger. I already had a general sense about what blogs were, but it is great to be able to write some myself.

I use YouTube most if not every day. I am very familiar with the platform and feel that is a great resource. I think that YouTube does have some issues with how it treats it's creators and manages it's algorithms, but besides for that I think a video on almost any topic that falls under YouTube guidelines can be found. I would use youtube as an additional resource in the classroom to help students see a concept first hand, or learn about what a particular specialist feels about a subject.
